VeryDarkMan: Educational reform in Nigeria thanks to a record collection in 24 hours

Social activist and critic VeryDarkMan recently caused a stir when he announced that he had raised a whopping ₦21,620,780 just 24 hours after launching his NGO. The news rocked social media, where a video of the activist thanking for the quick support was widely shared.

In the video, VeryDarkMan expressed gratitude for the immediate response to his appeal for support in support of his goal of reforming the public education system with innovative solutions. He encouraged Nigerians to contribute to his cause, and barely a day after his appeal, he confirmed that he had received the aforementioned sum, which will serve as a boost to his projects.

The activist stressed his commitment to transparency and promised to expose NGOs that misuse public funds for personal gain. He criticized the lack of accountability within many Nigerian NGOs, saying that donations are often misused for personal gain. He promised to differentiate himself by making all expenses public, setting a new standard for integrity and transparency in NGO operations.

In his statement, VeryDarkMan said: “It’s been just 24 hours since I announced my NGO, and if I told you how much is currently in this account, you wouldn’t believe me. First of all, a big thank you to everyone who sent money. I saw love and support coming in amounts like ₦72, ₦100, ₦22, ₦500. Most of the money came in small donations, ₦500, ₦300, ₦200. Even those who didn’t have much still wanted to support.”

“There have been bigger donations, like ₦2 million and ₦1 million. But honestly, it’s the small amounts that make up the majority. I received a donation with a note saying ‘I love you because you’re crazy,’ and it was just ₦100. That’s love.”

These contributions have opened VeryDarkMan’s eyes to the number of NGOs that are scamming people in the country. Many of them do not use the money they receive wisely. But with his NGO, he plans to expose them by being completely transparent. “If I spend ₦10, I will let the public know. It will put pressure on other NGOs to do the same.”

VeryDarkMan stressed that his project aims to improve public education in Nigeria. He highlighted the lack of young and innovative teachers in public schools and his desire to introduce new teaching methods and resources, including technology, to enhance learning.

“Education, especially in public schools, is failing. There is nothing exciting about it anymore. We need to recruit young teachers that students can relate to, and introduce modern teaching methods. Education needs to move with the times,” he said.

He also stressed the importance of equipping students with practical skills, saying that “not everyone needs to follow the traditional academic path. We should introduce vocational training from a young age so that students can start thinking about their careers right from primary school. We need to reintroduce cultural events and other activities that make education fun.”

With his initiative and determination to bring about positive change, VeryDarkMan is leading the way for transparent and accountable philanthropy in Nigeria.

In a country where trust in NGOs is often shaken by corruption scandals, his commitment to accountability and harnessing resources for the common good is a commendable example. With his education-focused initiative, he is paving the way for a brighter future for the Nigerian youth. His innovative approach and goal of transparency could well mark the beginning of a new era of enlightened philanthropy and social progress in Nigeria.

In conclusion, VeryDarkMan’s commitment to the educational cause and its willingness to make a difference in a transparent and accountable manner deserves to be commended, and its potential impact on the education sector in Nigeria should not be underestimated.
