A new era for the mobilization of public revenues in the province of Haut-Uélé

**A New Era for Public Revenue Mobilization in Haut-Uélé Province**

The mobilization of public revenue in Haut-Uélé Province, Democratic Republic of Congo, is about to enter a new era. Under the leadership of Ambroise Kakese Mayanga, the General Directorate of Administrative, State and Participation Revenue (DGRAD) is preparing to optimize its actions to achieve its set objectives.

In a recent statement, Ambroise Kakese Mayanga recalled the crucial importance of respecting the laws in force to ensure the proper functioning of the State. He stressed that the Republic urgently needs revenue to support its policy and meet the needs of the population. It is therefore a call for commitment and rigor that is launched to the agents and executives of the DGRAD.

One of the main problems that the DGRAD of Haut-Uélé must face is the understaffing of agents in the territories of the province. Indeed, areas such as Faradje, Dungu and Wamba have only one agent to ensure revenue mobilization activities. This situation considerably limits the scope of the DGRAD’s actions and makes it difficult to achieve the set objectives.

Ambroise Kakese Mayanga therefore expressed the need to consider recruiting additional DGRAD agents in the Haut-Uélé province. It is essential to extend the public service to the most remote areas to strengthen the presence of the tax administration and optimize revenue collection.

In terms of figures, the DGRAD of Haut-Uélé has achieved a mobilization of 3,158,075,672,584.94 FC in September 2024, which represents 74.05% of its annual forecast. There are still 22,842,458,728.2 FC to be mobilized to achieve the set objectives. Ambroise Kakese Mayanga stressed the need to redouble efforts to meet this challenge and enable the provincial leadership to achieve its assignments.

In conclusion, the new provincial director of the DGRAD of Haut-Uélé is laying the foundations for a new dynamic for the mobilization of public revenue. Thanks to additional recruitment of agents and a strengthened strategy, the province is committed to better optimization of its financial resources in the service of development and the well-being of the population.
