Senator Ndume’s urgent call for economic action: Tinubu called to intervene immediately

Amid growing criticism and concerns over rising food and energy prices, Senator Ali Ndume has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene urgently. In a poignant statement, Ndume highlighted the challenges faced by Nigerians, especially the most vulnerable, as prices of basic necessities skyrocketed.

He warned of attempts by some malign elements, backed by saboteurs, to undermine the reforms undertaken by the Tinubu administration. According to the senator, these forces are seeking to sow discord and promote destructive economic policies instead of addressing inflation and the depreciation of the naira, thereby fueling the economic distress of Nigerians.

Speaking from Borno State, Ndume testified to the despair and growing anger of the people as they face increasing challenges in meeting their daily needs. He highlighted the devastating impact of soaring prices on families who are unable to cope with hyperinflation that is hampering their ability to feed themselves.

The Senator commended President Tinubu’s benevolent intentions towards Nigeria but cautioned against receiving bad advice from some ill-intentioned advisers. He urged the President to resist such negative influences and take decisive action to alleviate the suffering of the Nigerian people who are facing increasing poverty.

Ndume stressed the urgent need for action to restore the purchasing power of Nigerians and put an end to the vicious cycle of poverty plaguing the country. He called for informed reforms that would ensure economic stability and prosperity for all citizens and warned of the dire consequences of prolonged inaction.

In conclusion, the message delivered by Senator Ndume resonates as a call for national solidarity and collective responsibility. It highlights the urgency of concerted action to address the current economic challenges and build a better future for all Nigerians. It is now up to President Tinubu to respond to this call with the firmness and determination required to overcome the challenges that lie ahead for Nigeria.
