Persistent insecurity in Ezo chiefdom region: a tragedy that demands urgent measures

Insecurity persists in the Ezo chiefdom region, located in the Ango territory in Bas-Uele, where Seleka rebels have once again spread terror. Three lifeless bodies were discovered, including two men in their thirties and a child in their tens, victims of the deadly incursion of the attackers.

This tragedy once again raises the question of the security of local populations, trapped by the violence of armed groups. The administrator of the territory, Marcelin Mazale, is sounding the alarm and calling on the authorities to increase military personnel and logistical resources in order to effectively protect the inhabitants of the region.

It is urgent that concrete measures be taken to ensure the security of vulnerable populations who live in constant fear of attacks and abuses by the rebels. The inability of the authorities to guarantee the security of citizens is unacceptable and jeopardizes the stability of the region.

This new attack by the Seleka rebels is a reminder of the need for provincial and national authorities to act quickly and effectively to put an end to the violence and restore peace in this part of the territory. It is essential to protect civilian populations and ensure that they can live in safety and dignity.

In conclusion, indifference to the suffering of populations affected by the abuses of armed groups is unacceptable. It is imperative that concrete measures be taken to put an end to this spiral of violence and ensure the safety and protection of citizens. Inaction is no longer tolerable and it is time to act so that peace and security can finally return to the Ezo chiefdom region.
