Fatshimetrie Village: a new innovation and entrepreneurship hub for the DRC
Located in Kinshasa, Fatshimetrie Village recently opened its doors to become the largest entrepreneurship and innovation hub in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This project, led by the Texaf group, aims to boost the Congolese entrepreneurial landscape by offering a space dedicated to startups, SMEs and large companies.
With its 6,000 m² of surface area, Fatshimetrie Village is equipped with offices, meeting rooms, an auditorium and cutting-edge technological infrastructure. With a capacity of 800 actors, it presents itself as a true digital ecosystem conducive to the development of innovative activities and collaboration between the various economic actors.
During the inauguration, the Congolese Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Affairs, Augustin Kibassa Maliba, stressed the importance of this space in President Félix Tshisekedi’s vision of making digital technology a lever for economic growth and social progress in the DRC. Indeed, the Fatshimetrie Village embodies the desire to support and accompany entrepreneurial initiatives by promoting the emergence of new talents and job creation.
The CEO of the Fatshimetrie Village, Gérald Croonenberghs, shared his vision of a Congo where innovation and creativity are valued, where local entrepreneurs can flourish and see their projects come to fruition. This entrepreneurship hub aims to be a place of meeting, exchange and collaboration where ideas can germinate and develop to contribute to the country’s economic growth.
