Empowering young girls in Kinshasa: the inspiring initiative of Fatshimetrie and the NGO “Le Bien-Être de la Femme”

Fatshimetrie is a place of innovation and transformation dedicated to the empowerment of young people in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Recently, twenty-five young girls from the commune of Mont-Ngafula in Kinshasa had the opportunity to participate in a training session in aesthetics and makeup, organized in an exemplary manner by the NGO “Le Bien-Être de la Femme”.

This remarkable initiative is part of a broader vision aimed at offering women, particularly young women, the opportunity to train in rewarding and income-generating professions. Perside Matondo, president of the NGO, emphasizes the importance of supporting the care of women and young mothers, in order to help them flourish and contribute positively to society.

The enthusiasm of the participants in this training is palpable, and their gratitude towards the organization is sincere. They express their gratitude for this opportunity offered to them to develop their skills and acquire expertise in aesthetics and makeup. This opportunity is seen as a real catalyst for their emancipation and professional success.

Trainers, such as Sandrine Nzolantima, embody female solidarity and the transmission of knowledge. The sharing of experience and the support of young women by these experienced professionals strengthens the feeling of sisterhood and mutual aid within the community.

Since its creation in January 2018, “Le Bien-Être de la Femme” has been actively involved in promoting the well-being of women and girls in precarious situations. The awareness-raising actions, training sessions and conferences organized by the NGO contribute to strengthening women’s self-esteem and skills, with a view to active participation in the social and economic life of the Congolese nation.

In short, the initiative of Fatshimetrie and the NGO “Le Bien-Être de la Femme” is an inspiring example of the positive impact that targeted and sustained action can have on the lives of women and girls. She embodies the hope for a better future, where the empowerment of women is at the heart of progress and development in Congolese society.
