Kinshasa, October 1, 2024 – The recent pre-launch of the Translogifret forum in Kinshasa raised crucial questions on the importance of improving mobility and logistics efficiency for the economic development of decentralized territorial entities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This event, organized by “Gift RDC Events”, brought together ambassadors, members of the Congolese government and business leaders around the issues of transport, logistics and freight, considered as the foundations of global connectivity.
Emmanuel Manya, initiator of this project, highlighted the importance of these sectors in transforming the economies and lives of the Congolese. He insisted on the essential role of mobility and logistics in the rapid development of decentralized regions. This forum is thus intended to be a space for exchange, reflection and innovation to develop concrete solutions to meet the growing challenges of transport and logistics at the local, regional and international levels.
During his speech, Captain Serge Ilunga Lukunga, airline pilot, highlighted the key role of the DRC in opening up Africa and the importance of strengthening transport and logistics value chains. He illustrated the current complexity of journeys between certain Congolese cities, sometimes requiring crossing several neighboring countries, which hinders social cohesion and national development.
The Translogifret international trade fair, scheduled to take place at the Palais du Peuple in Kinshasa in 2025, promises to be a major event bringing together key players in the sector for strategic discussions, interactive workshops and an exhibition dedicated to innovations in transport and logistics. The conferences and debates with national and international experts will shed light on the current and future challenges of the sector, while the practical workshops will promote the exchange of good practices and the creation of innovative strategies.
In short, this forum promises to be a crucial platform to provide concrete solutions to the challenges of transport, logistics and freight in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Africa. It embodies the commitment of national and international actors to address these challenges and contribute to the sustainable development and prosperity of the Congolese people.
