Fatshimetrie celebrates the resounding success of the choir ‘Liga Musica’ at its annual festival in Kinshasa in September 2024. This event marked the choir’s seventeen years of commitment and devotion to gospel music and the celebration of faith.
‘Liga Musica’ President, Nathan Kondo Wa Kondo, expressed his gratitude to Jesus Christ and the opportunity offered by the ‘Ngebu Ngebu’ festival to publicly share the blessings of faith. He enthusiastically emphasized the importance of recognizing God’s grace in our lives and the joy of being able to pay tribute to Him through music.
The event was also marked by the preview presentation of the song “Stock ya bolamu na Nzambe Nanu esili te” (the stock of God’s goodness is not exhausted), scheduled for an official release by the end of the year. The audience was transported by the haunting melodies of ‘Liga Musica’, performing hymns such as ‘Loyembo ya sika’ and ‘Il est passé par là’.
Alongside ‘Liga Musica’, other talented gospel artists lit up the festival stage, including the group ‘LCK’, Jonathan Diaf, Aristote Mukoko, El Georges, Gamaliel Lombo, and many more. The event was marked by highlights including recitations of Bible verses by the youngsters, thus highlighting the importance of transmitting Christian values to future generations.
This musical celebration highlighted the fundamental mission of ‘Liga Musica’ which aims to transmit and root the word of Jesus Christ in hearts through music. Made up of young Christians from various churches, the choir embodies the unity and strength of shared faith.
