Press conference of the president of V.Club of Kinshasa after the team’s elimination at the African Football Confederation Cup
The recent event in Kinshasa has attracted the attention of many African football fans. Indeed, the president of V.Club, Amadou Diaby, courageously assumed the defeat and elimination of his team at the African Football Confederation (CAF) Cup during an emotional press conference.
In a speech marked by responsibility and transparency, Amadou Diaby declared: “I assume the defeat of Vita Club. I assume the elimination of Vita Club, at the African Confederation Cup”. These words reflect the maturity and sense of responsibility of the president who was able to take note of the sporting results without looking for excuses.
The president of the Vita Club Sports Association also stressed the importance of the long-term vision for the club. He called for everyone’s understanding by emphasizing that Vita Club is a project that goes beyond simple match-by-match results. Amadou Diaby highlighted the need for several club structures to come together to move forward in a coherent and harmonious manner.
In support of these remarks, Franco Tocha, a member of V.Club’s technical staff, also spoke to recall his mission to support all club staff to move in the right direction. This team vision and cohesion are essential to overcome obstacles and achieve the objectives set.
It is interesting to note that this speech comes a few months after the appointment of Amadou Diaby as head of the club, succeeding Ms. Bestine Kazadi. Despite the challenges and difficulties encountered during the season, V.Club was able to maintain 5th place in the National Football League Championship (Linafoot) in the DRC. A position that testifies to the work accomplished and the determination of the entire team.
