These allegations, recently relayed on social media by Denise Mukendi Dusauchoy, a well-known political figure, have sparked strong reactions and revived the debate on human rights violations in the DRC.
A former journalist and national youth coordinator for the Ensemble pour la République party, Jacky Ndala was sentenced to 22 months in prison and spent 11 months in Makala central prison before his release in June 2022. It was during this period of deprivation of liberty that he claims to have been raped in his cell at the ANR.
