Fatshimetrie recently highlighted a tragedy that occurred in the Ijegun area of Lagos, involving two young individuals and a fatal outcome. The tragedy erupted between Fatimo Agboke, a 19-year-old woman, and her friend Faruk Azeez, aged 20, during an argument that unfortunately took a fatal turn.
According to reports, the argument between Fatimo and Faruk came to a head around 9:20pm, escalating into a physical altercation that had tragic consequences. Fatimo allegedly stabbed Faruk in the neck with a piece of broken glass, causing serious injuries that unfortunately led to the latter’s death despite efforts to rush him to the hospital.
The Lagos State Police Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that the victim’s father alerted the authorities after receiving an alarming call from a neighbour. Investigators quickly reached the scene, discovering Faruk lying in a pool of blood with a deep wound on his neck. The body was later taken to the Mainland General Hospital in Yaba for post-mortem.
Fatimo Agboke was apprehended and remanded in custody while investigators took over the case to unravel the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic incident. SP Hundeyin stressed the importance of conducting a thorough investigation and ensuring that justice is served in the case.
