At the recent graduation ceremony, 580 new graduates were awarded their diplomas, ready to enter the job market and contribute to the development of the country. The rector of the institution, Professor Frédéric Mozart Nyoka Mupangila, stressed the importance for these young graduates to appropriate the motto of UPKAN, “train for the nation”, and to demonstrate exemplary professional conduct.

The fields of training of the graduates are diverse, ranging from literature to agricultural sciences, economics and psychology. Since acquiring its current status in 2018, the university has been striving to promote scientific research and train design executives with dual technoscientific and pedagogical expertise.

The results of the first session of the 2023-2024 academic year exams showed a success rate of 44.5%, with 580 graduates out of a total of 1,323 candidates. Despite the challenges, UPKAN can count on collaboration with other national and international institutions to ensure the quality of its teaching. The doctoral school has also recorded successes, with nine theses defended and the participation of 144 auditors.

The presence of the Governor of Kasaï Central, Joseph-Moïse Kambulu, at this ceremony attests to the importance given by the authorities to the education sector. He praised the efforts made by the UPKAN management committee and promised the continued support of the provincial government to this institution.

This ceremony marks an important step in the academic journey of these young graduates and opens new perspectives for their professional future. UPKAN, faithful to its mission of training for the nation, continues to be a key player in the development of the region and the country as a whole.
