Fatshimétrie, September 18, 2024 – A new major breakthrough in the electricity sector is looming in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the construction of a state-of-the-art electrical transformer station in Mugunga, in the Karisimbi commune in Goma, North Kivu province. This major project, with a capacity of 93.8 Megavar, is being carried out by the National Electricity Company (Snel), demonstrating the country’s commitment to strengthening its energy infrastructure.
The establishment of this new transformer station is of major strategic importance, as it will allow an efficient interconnection in Mugunga.
