The victims explained that they were picked up as sex workers at Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, Bode Thomas, Surulere, by the two suspects, who later took them to a supposed location in their accommodation. It was there that the criminals allegedly demanded that they hand over their valuables, including two iPhones worth N1.05 million, a REDMI Note 12 worth N140,000 and an iPhone XR worth N240,000. The victims were also forced to transfer N25,000 to an Opay account and N8,000 to the same account.

During investigation, the suspects confessed to the crime. The suspects’ operational vehicle, a Toyota Camry with registration number APP335 JA, as well as two other blank number plates used in the act were recovered by the police.
