Strengthening Education in Kwara State: Massive Recruitment for a Promising Future

At the heart of Kwara State education news is a major recruitment decision by the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KwSUBEB). According to Aminat Atere, the KwSUBEB Press Secretary, Professor Shehu Adaramaja, the board chairman, in a statement, announced that recruitments were planned in various categories such as Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) holders, National Certificate in Education (NCE) holders, security guards and various other non-teaching staff.

The recruitments, numbering 695 for Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) holders, 605 for National Certificate in Education (NCE) holders, 200 for security officers and 111 for other categories of non-teaching staff, will be carried out to fill vacancies left by retirement, death or transfer of service to other states.

It is important to note that this recruitment initiative is the result of a thorough needs assessment conducted within the education authorities of the 16 LGAs. The recruitment process will be done through a community-based approach, prioritizing the competence and qualifications of the candidates. In order to ensure equitable distribution of recruits, recruitment will be done at the local government level or the neediest communities/villages.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has given his approval for this recruitment, demonstrating his commitment to the improvement of the education sector in Kwara State.
