**Congo Food Week Festival in Kinshasa: when local gastronomy is put to the service of humanitarian aid**

The fourth edition of the Congo Food Week Festival in Kinshasa promises to be rich in flavors and generosity. Launched by the Congolicious Foundation, this unique event is intended to be an ode to local gastronomy while being a charitable action in favor of war displaced persons in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Beyond simple tasting, this festival is a reflection of a collective awareness of the precarious situation of displaced populations. Indeed, in addition to delighting the taste buds of visitors, Congo Food Week’s mission is to raise funds to support the humanitarian actions carried out by the Congolicious Foundation in the displaced persons camps in eastern DRC.

It is thanks to initiatives like these that we can truly hope to reduce hunger, malnutrition, poverty and the inequalities that are rife in our country. The Congolicious Foundation is leading by example by actively engaging in the fight against these scourges, by setting up programs to empower women and combat malnutrition.

By participating in this festival, visitors are invited to support a noble cause, to savor authentic local dishes and to discover all the culinary richness that our country has to offer. It is also an opportunity to highlight the talent and know-how of Congolese restaurateurs, who deserve to be supported and valued.

Thus, from August 23 to 25, 2024, gastronomes, humanitarians and the curious will meet in the north of the city of Kinshasa to celebrate together the culinary diversity of Congo and make their contribution to a noble cause. Because ultimately, what could be more universal than gathering around a table to share a meal and support those who need it most?

By participating in the Congo Food Week Festival, it is a simple and concrete gesture that everyone can make to contribute to a better, fairer and more united world. Because it is by joining forces, our talents and our generosity that we can really make a difference and bring a little light where there is darkness.
