February 2024, Kinshasa – A new political era is dawning in the Democratic Republic of Congo with the reorganization of the national board of directors of the political party “Action Patriotes pour l’Emergence du Congo” (APEC), an influential member of the Union Sacrée de la Nation.
Dominique Unyonpewu, newly appointed Secretary General of APEC, expressed his gratitude to Louis Watum Kabamba, the party’s leading figure, for his confidence in the youth and his foresight. In a speech marked by commitment and dedication, Unyonpewu pledged to serve the party with integrity, transparency and unwavering loyalty to its fundamental principles, including the defense of democratic values of equality and justice for all.
The stated objective of APEC under the leadership of Dominique Unyonpewu is to fully align with President Félix Tshisekedi’s vision for public management. As a member of the Sacred Union of the Nation, the party is committed to putting into practice the recommendations and orientations of the Head of State to actively contribute to the advent of a prosperous and equitable Congo.
At the same time, Emmanuel Bushiri, the new Deputy Secretary General in charge of political, administrative and legal matters, stressed his intention to consolidate the achievements of the Head of State throughout the national territory. Since its creation in December 2020, APEC has positioned itself as a bulwark against impoverishment, poor public management, corruption and anti-values that hinder the development of the DRC.
By emphasizing the fight against the growing impoverishment of the Congolese people and advocating virtuous and transparent public management, APEC embodies a new political dynamic within the Sacred Union of the Nation. Under the leadership of Dominique Unyonpewu, the party positions itself as a strategic ally of President Tshisekedi in building a better future for all Congolese.
In conclusion, this reorganization within APEC marks a significant turning point in the Congolese political landscape, reflecting the desire of young people to actively get involved in public life and contribute to the growth of the nation. In a context marked by many challenges, APEC appears to be a key player in building a more just, prosperous and democratic DRC.
