In the heart of Kwango in the Democratic Republic of Congo, an innovative project is emerging, bearing the evocative name of “Avenir”. This is a bold and necessary initiative, aimed at strengthening agricultural entrepreneurship in the region. The key players in this program met in Kenge to raise awareness and mobilize around this crucial cause.

The national coordinator of the project, Justinien Bacirongo, unveiled the broad outlines of this ambitious project, structured around three major axes. By focusing on family farming, agricultural and rural entrepreneurship, opening up territories and access to local markets, the Avenir project has clear and concrete objectives. With a total budget of 213.5 million US dollars, this program benefits from the financial support of various partners, such as IFAD, AFD, GEF and the Congolese State.

In order to ensure the visibility and success of these actions, Aimé Kazika Kamosi, head of the project branch for the Kwango province, stressed the importance of involving the press and all local stakeholders. It is essential that this project resonates within the community and generates the support of all.

The Inades markets expert, Serges Biyela, a key partner in this program, presented the tools and strategies that will be deployed to ensure the success of this initiative. The social engineering methodology, the intervention strategy and the work plan were presented in order to ensure an effective and harmonious implementation of the project.

The awareness-raising workshop held in Kenge brought together all the provincial development stakeholders around this major project. Social engineering, the real cornerstone of this initiative, aims to involve and mobilize local stakeholders, thus allowing them to take ownership of the actions undertaken and become the main actors.

The Governor of Kwango Province, Willy Bitwisila, launched this project with conviction and determination, emphasizing the critical importance of strengthening agricultural entrepreneurship for the sustainable development of the region.

In short, the Avenir project represents hope for Kwango, an opportunity for transformation and empowerment. By giving local actors the means to take charge of their destiny, this program aims to create a better and more prosperous future for all. Through the union of vital forces and the commitment of each individual, Kwango is committed to sustainable and responsible development.
