Road rehabilitation in Kasa-Vubu: A major transformation for the commune of Kinshasa

Kasa-Vubu, an emblematic commune of Kinshasa, is currently undergoing a major phase of rehabilitation of its roads. Road modernization work is underway and the local population can only rejoice at this major development.

According to the latest information collected on the ground, the road rehabilitation work in the commune of Kasa-Vubu is progressing at a sustained pace, with an execution rate reaching 70%. This progress is particularly visible on the construction sites on Avenue Sports and Avenue Birmanie. The first has been completely asphalted and put into service, while the second, connecting several important districts of the town, is being finalized after the demolition of the anarchic constructions which hindered its progress.

The residents of Kasa-Vubu express their satisfaction with this major renovation of their roads. Marguerite Landu, a regular user of Avenue Sports, happily witnesses the transformation of this once neglected avenue. Rick Ndaya, a motorcyclist, underlines the importance of this work for the flow of traffic and the comfort of users. Sara Muboyayi, a local seller, welcomes the paving of Avenue Birmanie, a new road which will relieve traffic jams in the town.

Road rehabilitation is not limited to these projects. Indeed, Opala Avenue is currently being paved, marking the start of an ambitious program to build a new road parallel to other important arteries in the town. This initiative aims to relieve traffic congestion on existing routes and to provide new traffic routes for the residents of Kasa-Vubu.

However, voices are being raised to denounce the cessation of work on Maringa and Lisala avenues, which are essential to the proper functioning of the town’s road network. Residents express their concern about this interruption and call on the competent authorities to guarantee the rapid resumption of these construction sites for the well-being of all.

At the same time, the commune of Kintambo is also seeing its roads transformed, with the pouring of the rigid roadway on Avenue Bompete. This initiative, launched under the leadership of Head of State Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, aims to resolve traffic jam problems and improve traffic flow in the capital.

In conclusion, the rehabilitation of roads in the commune of Kasa-Vubu and neighboring areas represents a real turning point for the urbanization of Kinshasa. These ambitious projects promise to offer the local population modern infrastructure adapted to their needs, while contributing to the economic and social development of the region.
