The National Agency for the Promotion of Investments (ANAPI) continues its commitment to entrepreneurship and youth awareness through an awareness tour in Mbandaka, the capital of the Equateur province in the Democratic Republic of Congo. At the heart of this initiative is the desire to equip students with the knowledge and tools necessary to create their own economic activities and thus promote their financial autonomy.
Under the leadership of Michel Mansapi, Director in charge of the business climate at ANAPI, a morning dedicated to awareness-raising took place on August 7, 2024 at the Haute Ecole de Commerce de Mbandaka, formerly known as ISC. In front of nearly 2,500 participants, made up of students and academics, the emphasis was placed on the importance of formalizing a business, the steps necessary to achieve this, as well as the various legal documents to obtain to ensure the sustainability of its activity.
ANAPI highlighted the accessibility of business creation procedures, highlighting the simplicity and speed with which students can obtain the various administrative documents essential to their activity. Indeed, with modest amounts, it is possible for them to obtain the Trade and Personal Property Credit Register (RCCM), national identification, tax number, as well as CNSS, INPP and ONEM numbers.
This initiative aims to raise awareness among young students about the opportunities offered by entrepreneurship, while encouraging them to take ownership of the reforms put in place to improve the business climate in the Democratic Republic of Congo. By diving into the heart of the process of improving the business climate, ANAPI aims to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit among Congolese youth, inviting them to become key players in the economy of tomorrow.
The organization of these workshops within the university environment also aims to strengthen collaboration between the academic world and economic actors, in order to facilitate the integration of young graduates into the world of work and to promote the economic development of the country. By raising awareness among students about the challenges of entrepreneurship and encouraging them to become actively involved in improving the business climate, ANAPI wishes to establish a culture of innovation and sustainable economic development among Congolese youth.
This approach is part of a broader vision of promoting entrepreneurship and investment in the Democratic Republic of Congo, aimed at creating an environment conducive to economic growth and the emergence of new innovative economic actors. By encouraging young people to take an active part in this transformation process, ANAPI is paving the way for a promising future for the country’s economic development.
