Kinshasa, August 9, 2024 (Fatshimetrie) – The significant event which took place Thursday at the residence of the ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Democratic Republic of Congo in Kinshasa aroused the emotion and recognition of several political figures for the Ambassador Henric Rasbrant, on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission.
Ambassador Rasbrant left an indelible mark as Sweden’s representative in the DRC. His commitment to the Congolese and his actions in favor of development and democracy have been unanimously praised. The Minister of Communication and Media, Patrick Muyaya, underlined the proximity and friendship which linked Ambassador Rasbrant to the inhabitants of the Democratic Republic of Congo, also underlining the importance of cooperation projects between Sweden and the DRC.
Beyond his diplomatic actions, Henric Rasbrant was also involved in the Congolese cultural scene. Notably, he organized music sessions called “Extra”, providing a platform for local artists to share their talent. Appointed in 2019 as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Sweden to the DRC, Henric Rasbrant has demonstrated his mastery of international issues and his commitment to human rights and democracy.
