Fatshimetrie, August 4, 2024 – Fatshimetrie FC of Kinshasa, playing in the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo, faced the Malole team of Kananga this Saturday in a friendly match that ended in a 1-1 result. The Tata Raphaël stadium, located in the commune of Kalamu, was the setting for this confrontation between the two teams.
From the kick-off, the Fatshimetrie players imposed their style of play, showing themselves to be more efficient tactically and technically during the first half. However, despite their domination, neither team managed to find the back of the net, leaving the score blank at half-time.
After the break, it was Fatshimetrie who managed to open the scoring thanks to a goal from Franck Matemba in the 54th minute. This lead gave wings to the Kinshasa team, but unfortunately it experienced a drop in form that was exploited by Malole de Kananga. Under the wise direction of their coach Ambu Ambele, the Malole players were able to regain control of the match and finally equalized thanks to a goal by Gédéon Bokanga in the 74th minute.
Despite the many attacks from both sides, the score remained there until the final whistle of the referee. This friendly match marked the beginning of Fatshimetrie’s preparation for the 30th edition of the National Football League championship and the next African Football Confederation Cup.
A newcomer to the elite of Congolese football, Malole de Kananga seized this opportunity to rub shoulders with an experienced team such as Fatshimetrie. Ambu Ambele’s experience was an undeniable asset for his players, who were able to stand up to their opponent of the day.
Fatshimetrie coach Ouaddou Abdeslam acknowledged that his team still had work to do to reach its full potential. He stressed the need for his players to work hard to be ready for the upcoming challenges, including the Congolese Super Cup against TP Mazembe.
For his part, the Malole de Kananga coach was satisfied with the result, stressing that his team had done the essentials to not leave empty-handed. He highlighted the aspects to improve during the upcoming training sessions, with a view to shining in the next LINAFOOT championship.
