The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, has recently taken important steps to improve the social conditions of civil servants and government employees in the country. During the seventh meeting of the Council of Ministers in Kinshasa, he formulated several directives to ensure better treatment of civil service workers.

In addition, the President stressed the urgency of taking action to curb the rise in prices of basic necessities. He called on the government to take effective measures to counter this upward trend, particularly with regard to bread prices which have increased significantly. He recommended a concerted approach to identify and punish economic offenders who manipulate food prices.
