Fatshimetrie, July 6, 2024 – The fight against urban banditry remains at the heart of concerns in Bandalungwa, a central commune of Kinshasa. Faced with a worrying increase in crime, the police authorities have taken major measures to put an end to these criminal acts.

Major Michel Mbuyi Mukendi, commander of the Congolese National Police in Bandalungwa, announced the establishment of intensive night and day patrols. These operations aim to effectively reduce cases of banditry from surrounding communes such as Bumbu, Ngiri-Ngiri, Camp Luka in Kintambo, and Selembao. These incursions fuel the Bandalungwa district and greatly disrupt the lives of its inhabitants.
