Fatshimetrie, June 27, 2024 – The recent national jury for non-formal education, held in Kisangani, demonstrated once again the crucial importance of this type of education in Congolese society. Indeed, the results of this edition, marked by the participation of 146 students, a large majority of whom were girls, highlight the successes and opportunities offered by non-formal education.

David Kazadi, provincial social inspector, highlighted the general satisfaction with the conduct of this event, emphasizing the total absence of incidents and the achievement of the objectives set. For him, the training provided within the framework of non-formal education aims above all at the social and socio-economic reintegration of learners. Obtaining the professional apprenticeship certificate at the end of the course opens up opportunities for both employment and business creation, thus offering students a concrete and rewarding qualification.

Among the participants of this edition, the cutting and sewing, masonry, automotive mechanics and carpentry sectors were represented. These fields, although varied, demonstrate the diversity of skills taught in non-formal education. By offering students the opportunity to acquire concrete know-how that is directly applicable in the labor market, this form of education plays a crucial role in building a solid and stable professional future for many young Congolese.

The success of this event also highlights the importance of supporting and promoting non-formal education in the Congolese education system. By giving learners the tools they need to enter the world of work, this form of education helps reduce the economic and social vulnerability of many individuals, while promoting the economic and social development of the country as a whole.

In conclusion, the national jury for non-formal education in Kisangani has once again demonstrated the relevance and effectiveness of this type of education for the training and professional integration of young Congolese. By enhancing the skills and know-how of learners, non-formal education plays an essential role in building a better future for all.
