As part of the evaluation of Medical Technical Institutes (ITM) in the province of Kasaï Oriental in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the quality and quantity of candidates present for the 2023-2024 national jury were highlighted. No less than 614 candidates sat for these exams, demonstrating a growing interest in medical fields in the region.
The involvement of local authorities, in particular the head of the health sciences education office of the Provincial Health Division, Evariste Cidibi, was highlighted. The latter highlighted the diversity of the courses offered, ranging from childbirth to pharmacy, including nursing. A special mention was given to the pharmacy sector, which is seeing its first graduates emerge in the province.
The interim governor of Kasai Oriental, Ananias Muzadi, spoke directly to the finalists of these exams, urging them to fully assume their responsibility in the management of human health. He underlined the nobility and complexity of the medical profession, reminding future practitioners of the importance of respecting standards and ensuring the safeguarding of human lives.
The finalists, like Jeanne Bambi Kabanga from the Bonzola Medical Institute, expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the tests. Confident and determined, they approached the different subjects with seriousness and commitment, aware of the importance of their future profession in society.
This collective success demonstrates the commitment of health stakeholders in the Kasai Oriental province, as well as the determination of future professionals to actively contribute to improving care and promoting public health. This journey towards excellence reflects a positive dynamic in the medical sector, and suggests a promising future for health in the region.
