Historic inauguration of a new governor for Sud-Ubangi: A boost to development for the province.

Gemena, June 26, 2024 – The inauguration of the new governor of the South Ubangi province, located in the northwest of the Democratic Republic of Congo, was recently the subject of praise within the presidential party. Rupins Mukendi, executive of the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS/Federation of South Ubangi), spoke with great joy and expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic for having signed the ordinance formalizing Mr Michée Mobonga as the new governor. This appointment was notified by the Ministry of the Interior, symbolizing a mark of consideration towards the leaders of South Ubangi and a promise of development for the province.

Defending the vision of the Head of State, Rupins Mukendi underlines the commitment to making South Ubangi an emerging province. He also encourages the new governor to put forward initiatives promoting agricultural development and road infrastructure, key areas mentioned during his electoral campaign.

This UDPS executive took the opportunity to appeal to the various leaders of South Ubangi present in the central government, including Jean-Pierre Bemba, Jean-Lucien Bussa and Acacia Bandubola, urging them to place the development of the province at the top of their priorities. It highlights the importance of promoting social cohesion and unity within the provincial community in order to stimulate harmonious growth.

The official inauguration of Mr. Michée Mobonga as governor of South Ubangi is the result of a presidential order broadcast on Radiotélévision nationale congolaise (RTNC).
