**Unblocking the enclavement: The colossal construction site of the Kinshasa ring roads under the aegis of the APCSC**
In the spotlight, the launch of work on the Kinshasa ring roads is generating unprecedented enthusiasm. Led by the Director General of the Agency for Steering, Coordination and Monitoring of Collaboration Agreements (APCSC), Freddy Yodi Shembo, these projects are part of a dynamic of strategic development on a national scale.
In a speech marked with determination and will, Freddy Yodi Shembo recalled that this work program, now revitalized and reoriented, favors the best interests of the Congolese nation. Unlike past practices where individualism took precedence, this initiative aims to be the symbol of a new era, that of transparent and efficient management at the service of all citizens.
Through its long-term vision, this ambitious program promises to be a major lever for transforming the country’s road mapping. The first phase, which begins in Kinshasa, is the prelude to a vast project which will soon extend to other provinces such as Haut-Katanga, Lomami, Kasaï-Oriental, Kasaï-Central, Kivu, and many others. With the asphalting of several hundred kilometers of major roads, the modernization of transport infrastructure is becoming a crucial priority for Congo.
The route of Kinshasa’s ring roads runs through four communes, crossing the very essence of urban life in the Congolese capital. From Mont-Ngafula to Nsele, via Ndjili and Kimbanseke, these new communication routes will not only facilitate travel within the metropolis, but also strengthen economic and social links between the different regions of the country.
With such a large-scale project, the positive impact on the daily lives of the Congolese can only be considerable. Reduction in travel times, creation of local jobs, easier access to basic services and markets, are all advantages which will strengthen the social and economic fabric of the country.
In a context where investment in infrastructure is synonymous with progress and stability, Kinshasa’s ring roads embody a unique opportunity to reinvent the Congolese landscape and open up new development prospects. Thanks to the vision and commitment of personalities such as Freddy Yodi Shembo and the support of President Félix Tshisekedi, Congo is charting its course towards a promising future, more connected and more prosperous than ever. The road is mapped out, it is up to us to take it with determination and audacity for a better and more united Congo.
