Fatshimetrie: Preparations of Kinshasa students for the 2024 state exam
As the countdown to the 2024 state exam officially begins, students in Kinshasa schools are embarking on a frenzy of intense revision and preparation. The stakes are high for these finalists who aspire to get their ticket to higher education.
In the schools of the Congolese capital, the corridors resonate with the lively discussions of students who are eagerly preparing for this crucial deadline. Coaching courses are organized, with some schools even offering accommodation to finalists in order to create an environment conducive to concentration and success.
Some students opt for small group revision sessions outside of class hours, pooling their knowledge and helping each other fill in gaps. These collective efforts demonstrate their determination to pass this dreaded exam.
Esther Kwangapamba, finalist student from Saint Fréderic College, shares her preparation experience: “The preparations are going wonderfully. We meet at school to solve exercises and revisit questionnaires from previous years. We are encouraged to mobilize all our intellectual resources to meet this challenge.”
For her part, Ganecha, a student at Bonsomi College, expresses her confidence in her chances of success, motivated by the support she receives on a daily basis: “I am convinced of succeeding because we work every day with our teachers at school. Solidarity between students allows us to help each other and move forward together towards success.”
Placide Mungoli, educational advisor at Collège Saint Fréderic, underlines the importance of the supervision provided to the finalists, emphasizing the ban on informal gatherings in the maquis and the promotion of school work as the key to success.
The ordinary session of the state examination will be held from June 24 to 28 throughout the territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo. All eyes are on these students who, through hard work and determination, aspire to successfully complete this crucial stage of their educational journey.
