A shocking incident rocks the quiet locality of CBM Park Adealu, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, as an individual faces three charges: conspiracy, assault and bodily harm. The defendant, whose address has not been released, has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
The charge, brought by the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Innocent Odugbo, states that the acts alleged against the accused took place on May 14, at CBM Park Adealu, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos.
It is alleged that the accused, in the company of an accomplice still at large, used a mobile phone to violently hit Bright Osondu’s head during an undisclosed dispute that arose between them (drivers). In addition, the defendant allegedly inflicted injuries on the complainant’s right eye, thus causing irreversible damage.
The charges against the accused are in violation of sections 170, 246 and 411 of the Lagos State Penal Code, 2015. In view of this serious situation, the Chief Magistrate, Miss M.F Onamusi, has decided to grant bail of ₦200,000 to the accused, under the guarantee of two equally solvent guarantors.
