Global mobilization against climate change: the urgent call from Professor Alphonse Maindo

The phenomenon of climate change has become a major concern on a global scale. The consequences of this upheaval are already palpable and calls for action are multiplying. In this context, the TROPENBOS RDC organization has launched a call for mobilization against climate change, under the leadership of Professor Alphonse Maindo, coordinator of this structure.

During a seminar held at the Alliance Française in Kisangani, Professor Maindo insisted on the urgency of collective awareness in the face of this major environmental challenge. He stressed the need for civil society organizations, the Congolese government and the general population to mobilize to face the impacts of climate change.

Professor Maindo’s approach is based on two essential recommendations: awareness and action. Understanding the scale of ongoing climate change is a crucial first step in being able to act effectively. According to him, it is imperative to increase concrete initiatives aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change and adapting to new environmental constraints.

It is now essential to move from awareness to effective mobilization. The issues linked to climate change can no longer be ignored, and everyone, at their own level, can contribute to providing solutions. Whether through individual actions, collective commitments or public policies, it is time to act together to preserve our planet and ensure a sustainable future for future generations.

The call launched by TROPENBOS DRC resonates like an alarm signal, inviting everyone to mobilize to meet the challenge of climate change. It is now up to everyone to take part in this mobilization, because it is together that we can build a future that is more respectful of our environment.
