The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Tshisekedi, has just begun a three-day state visit to Paris, the French capital. This visit is of particular importance, marking a new stage in diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Upon his arrival this morning, the Congolese Head of State was welcomed with military honors, a sign of respect and friendship between France and the DRC. Meetings with French political figures are at the heart of this first day.

The solemn session at the French National Assembly offers Félix Tshisekedi the opportunity to share his vision on bilateral and regional issues. It is also an opportunity for French deputies to better understand the challenges and prospects of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The day continues with a meeting with the French Senate, chaired by Gérard Larcher. These institutional exchanges lay the foundations for strengthened cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of politics, economics and culture.

Tomorrow, the highlight of this visit will be the face-to-face meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée. This meeting promises in-depth discussions on the strategic issues that link the DRC to France, opening the way to new opportunities for cooperation.

At the same time, the meeting with French employers, represented by the Movement of Companies of France, will make it possible to explore investment opportunities and economic partnership between the two countries.

This state visit marks a key step in strengthening ties between the DRC and France. It demonstrates the desire of the two countries to work closely together to meet the challenges of tomorrow and build a common future based on trust and cooperation.
