The shocking murder of a motorcycle taxi driver in Gungu: Call for exemplary justice

The night of Thursday to Friday, April 26 brought about a tragic incident in Gungu, within the Kwilu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo, signifying a grave act of violence. A motorcycle taxi driver, commonly referred to as “wewa”, was brutally murdered by his own passenger during a ride destined for Lwange, for which a fare of one hundred USD was agreed upon.

Armed with a 12 gauge weapon, he callously shot the driver, inflicting fatal wounds to his leg and back.
