A new cultural and religious jewel is being prepared in Sharm el-Sheikh

Sharm el-Sheikh, a renowned destination for sandy beaches and luxury resorts in South Sinai, is embarking on an innovative project to enhance its cultural and religious landscape. Recently, the governor of South Sinai, Khaled Fouda, and the Minister of Religious Affairs, Mohamed Mukhtar Gomaa, initiated the construction of an international religious and cultural complex in the Nabq region.

This groundbreaking complex will be the first of its kind in the area and will pave the way for similar developments in other cities within the governorate. Designed to complement Sharm el-Sheikh’s tourism status, the complex aims to increase its allure to global visitors.

The complex will offer a multifaceted experience, blending religious, cultural, and touristic elements. It will feature a church, a mosque, a hospital, a park, and a dedicated space for children, creating a spiritual haven and a hub for exploration amidst the popular coastal resort.

Emphasizing the significance of this project as a strategic tourism asset, the governor highlighted its potential to attract a large influx of visitors and stimulate tourism growth in the Nabq region. With its striking architectural design inspired by the Misr Mosque of the New Administrative Capital, the complex will house the “Angel Michael” church and the “al-Wali al-Hamid” mosque, along with various amenities and leisure facilities to cater to the needs of guests.

The establishment of this international religious and cultural complex marks a significant leap in diversifying Sharm el-Sheikh’s tourism offerings. It showcases the local authorities’ commitment to promoting a tourism experience rich in spiritual and cultural discoveries, promising visitors an immersive and unparalleled encounter in the heart of South Sinai.
