The party’s secretary in Kano, Alhaji Zakari Sarina, has denounced the alleged suspension of Ganduje as null and void. He expressed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday that the purported suspension of Ganduje by a group of individuals lacks validity as it stemmed from non-party members.
Sarina emphasized that it is unreasonable for non-members to suspend a national leader without adhering to the party’s stipulated procedures. He further criticized the suspension announcement made by a party faction on Sunday, branding the individuals behind it as political opportunists seeking personal gain at the expense of dignity.
Describing the orchestrators as lacking finesse and sophistication, Sarina highlighted their political naivety and contrasted it with Ganduje’s recognized leadership prowess. He stressed the commitment of party members at the constituency, local council, and state levels to stand firmly behind Ganduje, acknowledging his positive contributions to the party’s political growth.
Sarina revealed that the leader of the group proclaiming Ganduje’s suspension is a member of the New Nigeria People’s Party, which had unsuccessfully contested the councilor election in Ganduje’s constituency.
In cautioning the media to be wary of individuals spreading falsehoods, Sarina called for vigilance against those seeking to exploit platforms for deceptive motives.
