Celebrating the Legacy of Malam Aminu Kano: A Memorable Symposium in Kano

The symposium held in Kano to commemorate the 41st death anniversary of Malam Aminu Kano was graced by a moving speech delivered by Yusuf, emphasizing the enduring legacy of the renowned political leader. Aminu Kano, renowned as a distinguished educator and politician, was the founder of the People’s Redemption Party, born on August 9, 1920, and passing on April 17, 1983.

Yusuf eloquently paid homage to Aminu Kano, characterizing him as a devoted nationalist and activist who ardently advocated for the protection and promotion of people’s fundamental rights. The legacy left behind by Aminu Kano, encompassing social justice, equality, sincere intentions, good governance, and the fundamental right to education for all children, was fervently highlighted.

In a speech resonating with firm resolve, Yusuf underscored his administration’s unwavering commitment to education, evident in the substantial allocation in the proposed 2024 budget. Additionally, he announced the initiation of overseas scholarships for Kano State natives, emphasizing his government’s dedication to nurturing and educating the youth.

Expressing a willingness to heed and implement suggestions, advice, and ideas for enhancing the populace’s welfare, Yusuf commended the annual symposium organized by the Aminu Kano Center for Democratic Studies at Bayero University.
