“PepsiCo in Egypt: price reductions to calm tensions and build consumer loyalty”

PepsiCo, the soft drinks giant, recently announced temporary reductions in the price of some of its products in Egypt, according to information relayed by the Cairo24 site and reported by local traders.

After a series of significant price increases over the past two years, the move also comes against a tense backdrop for PepsiCo in Egypt, marked by a boycott campaign over its alleged support for Israeli military operations in Gaza.

Traders revealed that PepsiCo gave them discounts of around 20 Egyptian pounds per box of 330ml cans, the company’s most popular and best-selling format in the country. Discounts of around 25 Egyptian pounds per box have also been granted on 250 ml cans, another flagship product in the brand’s range.

The new prices set by PepsiCo are 205 Egyptian pounds for a box of Star cans and 180.5 Egyptian pounds for a box of Pocket cans. These discounts will be in effect until March 31, providing Egyptian consumers with an opportunity to enjoy their favorite PepsiCo products at cheaper prices.

This price reduction initiative demonstrates PepsiCo’s desire to meet consumer expectations and preserve its position in the Egyptian market, despite current challenges and tensions. Hopefully, these measures will help to ease relations between the brand and its customers, while providing greater access to quality products to a wider audience.
