“DRC Economic Forum 2024: Towards a Prosperous and Shared Future”

The Congolese government is actively preparing for the third edition of the Economic Forum of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FER), formerly known as the Country Risk Conference (CRP-RDC). Scheduled for June 26 to 27, 2024, this meeting constitutes a real opportunity for public and private actors to debate the major issues of national development.

At the heart of the discussions during these two days of forum, will be crucial themes such as macroeconomics, business climate, agro-industry, innovative financing, democratic governance, education, employment, development infrastructure, water, urban sanitation, as well as the consolidation of the mining sector. This diversity of subjects aims to promote a common vision favoring progress and action in favor of development.

In order to reward and encourage successful initiatives, prizes will be awarded to the three best provinces and universities, thus evaluating the progress made in each area. This approach will make it possible to establish healthy emulation and regular monitoring of the progress of each entity.

Furthermore, the report of the recent Brazilian economic mission to the DRC opened new perspectives for collaboration and investments. Inspired by the integrated and productive Brazilian model, this mission identified concrete partnership opportunities, particularly in the sectors of agriculture and infrastructure dedicated to the transport of products.

Faced with these exciting prospects, a Task Force has been set up to bring the identified immediate projects to fruition. The collaboration between the Congolese government and Brazilian stakeholders promises to be fruitful, with actions planned in the short, medium and long term to boost the country’s economic development.

In short, the Economic Forum of the Democratic Republic of Congo promises to be a crucial meeting to define a common roadmap and stimulate the country’s growth and progress. Exchanges between the various stakeholders look promising, paving the way for fruitful collaborations and significant progress for the Congolese economy.
