A tragic event occurred at the office of AYM Shafa Holdings, where hundreds of people had gathered to receive alms from a philanthropist, Alhaji Yakubu Maishanu. Spokesperson of the command, SP Ahmed Wakil, confirmed the incident in Bauchi.
According to him, the incident took place on a Sunday when victims were rushed to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) for medical treatment. Four women unfortunately lost their lives, while others were still receiving treatment.
The Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa, immediately ordered a rapid response and mobilized police officers to the scene to coordinate rescue operations. They secured the area to avoid any further danger and stopped the ongoing activity.
