In a recent statement by the Secretary to the Borno State Government, Alhaji Bukar Tijjani, nine Senior Technical Assistants (ATS), 81 Senior Special Assistants (ASS) and 78 Special Assistants (SA) were appointed. Additionally, 104 other individuals were appointed as chairs and board members of 15 agencies and commissions.
These appointments were made pursuant to the powers vested in the Governor by Section 208(2)d of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended.
