The long-awaited derby between FC Saint Éloi Lupopo and TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi risks once again being postponed. After a first postponement of the meeting during the first phase of the championship, the clash between the two giants seems compromised again. Indeed, the Ravens’ busy schedule makes it unlikely that the Playoffs match will be held in the near future.
The League did not schedule a match for TP Mazembe during the international break in March, leaving doubt as to the possibility of organizing the derby against the Cheminots on March 30 at the Joseph Kabila stadium in Kalemie. With the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League scheduled for March 29, it would be logistically impossible for the Ravens to string together these two matches in such a short time and in different cities.
No communication from the League has yet clarified the situation, suggesting that the postponement of the match is more than likely. Supporters will therefore have to wait before being able to witness this long-awaited opposition between the two rival clubs of Lubumbashi, in a suspense which seems to drag on.
