In an unspeakable act of violence, sixteen soldiers, including a commanding officer, two commanders, a captain and 12 soldiers were brutally murdered by thugs in Okuama community, located in Ughelli South County of the State of Delta, Thursday March 14, 2024.
These officers were on a rescue mission in the community, which was embroiled in a land dispute with the Okoloba community.
The president strongly condemned this heinous act, calling it unforgivable and appalling. He expressed his deep sadness and joined his voice with all Nigerians of goodwill and the men and women of our armed forces in mourning the wrongful death of our brave soldiers.
