“The governor of Kogi, Ahmed Ododo, ensures equitable distribution of food aid for the most vulnerable in society”

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, recently oversaw the distribution of food items at the Muhammadu Buhari Square in Lokoja. During this event, he warned officials against the diversion and improper storage of food aid intended for the most deprived in society. This initiative aims to support residents of the most economically vulnerable groups.

The governor stressed that these interventions were strictly aimed at the needy, emphasizing the importance of ensuring food security in the state. He also expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support in the distribution of aid.

The distribution will include rice and will reach households in all 239 wards of the 21 local governments in the state. The governor assured that these distributions will continue on a quarterly basis to guarantee continued aid to the populations most affected by economic precariousness.

Additionally, the committee responsible for overseeing the distribution of aid included the governor himself, to ensure transparency and fairness in the process.

In conclusion, Governor Ododo reaffirmed his commitment to serve all citizens of the state fairly and equitably, irrespective of political, tribal, ethnic or religious affiliation. He called for solidarity from all to allow people in need to benefit from this aid and urged people to put aside political considerations to focus on governance and the well-being of all.
