“King Akamo celebrates 20 years of reign by supporting Tinubu’s social initiatives”

At a press conference held to mark his 20th coronation anniversary, King Akamo expressed his support for the policies put in place by the current administration, led by Tinubu.

The monarch praised Tinubu’s courageous decision to remove fuel subsidies, while pointing out that some people in Nigeria were helping to make the situation worse by increasing the prices of local commodities such as cassava, garri and tomatoes. He questioned the impact of the dollar exchange rate on the production of these local foods, stressing that the country did not import garri, cows or goats.

To mark his jubilee, King Akamo plans to distribute at least 50 bags of rice, beans and garri to nearly 250 vulnerable households in the Itori community. This initiative aims to mitigate the effects of the current economic crisis on the population. He also announced his intention to offer motorcycles to young people in the community to help them become more independent.

In addition to these actions, King Akamo plans to visit orphanages and youth homes in Abeokuta to donate electrical appliances, in order to improve their living conditions.

This approach illustrates the king’s commitment to his people and his desire to contribute positively despite the economic challenges facing the country.
