In the world of crime, an intense hunt has taken place to end the threat of a dangerous criminal named 2Baba. Authorities in Rivers State had issued a search warrant with a bounty of N100 million on his head. 2Baba, a suspected criminal and serial kidnapper, was targeted in a Nigerian Air Force airstrike on his camp, dealing a fatal blow to his dangerous business.
The spokesperson of the Rivers Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the joint operation carried out by the police, army, navy, air force, Department of State Security (DSS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Services Corps (NSCDC).
The brutal racket of the gang led by 2Baba, including the killing of Ahoada Police Division Chief, SP Angbashim Bako, as well as several other residents of the state, triggered an immediate response from local authorities. Through a joint operation, more than 70 suspects were arrested and prosecuted for their involvement in the atrocious crimes committed by the 2Baba gang.
Despite considerable efforts by security forces, 2Baba and his gang managed to evade capture by hiding in hard-to-reach areas. However, a series of strategic arrests, special operations and advanced use of technology ultimately led to 2Baba’s death.
While investigating the activities of the Icelandic cult in the area, security forces recovered an arsenal of firearms from the 2Baba camp, including an AK47 rifle, a G3 rifle, a Scorpion pistol, a double rifle locally made cannon and two homemade pistols.
This operation demonstrated the exceptional determination and coordination of the security forces in ending the threat posed by 2Baba and his gang to the people of Rivers State. The tragic story of 2Baba’s reign of terror ultimately ends in his own destruction, bringing much-needed relief to the local community. However, the vigilance of law enforcement remains required to combat any resurgence of violence and ensure security and peace in the region.
