On this Friday, February 16, 2024, the provincial deputies of Maniema saw their powers validated during a session at the Provincial Assembly. This crucial stage, provided for by article 16 of the internal regulations of the institution, was marked by the presidency of the plenary by Makonga Toboka Ikin Claude Foreman.
This validation follows the presentation of the report of the commission responsible for verifying the files of provincial deputies. To date, the deliberative body has 20 members awaiting the co-optation of two traditional chiefs to the executive secretariat of the Ceni in Kindu.
This approach strengthens the legitimacy of Maniema’s provincial deputies and guarantees the proper functioning of the Provincial Assembly. Indeed, the validation of powers is an essential step to ensure the representativeness and commitment of elected officials to their mandate.
This administrative approach, although necessary, underlines the importance of transparency and rigor in the governance process. It demonstrates the commitment of provincial authorities to respect established rules and to work for the general interest.
Thus, this validation of the powers of the provincial deputies of Maniema in 2024 represents a further step towards responsible and democratic governance, serving the population of the province.
