Cairo International Book Fair: Immerse yourself in a world of knowledge, creativity and cultural diversity!

The Ministry of Culture announced the program of the 55th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair, inaugurated on Wednesday by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Culture Minister Nevine al-Kilani.

“We create knowledge, we preserve speech” is this year’s slogan for the event.

This year’s book fair runs from January 25 to February 6 and is organized by the Egyptian General Authority of Books, headed by Ahmed Bahi Eddin, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo, with Norway as host. guest of honor.

The Minister of Culture said that the cultural program of this year’s fair brings together cultural figures, artists and specialists from Egypt and around the world in cultural seminars and conferences being held for the first time at the fair.

She added that the fair’s steering committee took into account cultural and artistic diversity and multiplicity in this year’s program of events.

This year, the fair introduced the “One-Day Conference”, which includes six conferences with the participation of several Egyptian and Arab institutions.

Among these, “Artificial Intelligence Techniques” in collaboration with the Egyptian University of Informatics, and the conference “Arabic Translation – Bridge of Civilization” with the participation of the Ministries of Culture and Waqfs .

It also includes the “Intellectual Property…Protecting Creativity in the New Republic” conference, the “Taha Hussein” conference and the “Nazek al-Malaika” conference.

The exhibition also celebrates the 200th edition of the “Vision” series, in collaboration with the Ministry of Waqfs, titled “A New Vision of Religious Discourse in Egypt.”

This annual event is an opportunity for book lovers to discover new works, but also to participate in conferences and debates on various subjects. The diversity of the program highlights themes as varied as artificial intelligence, translation and the protection of intellectual property. This year, the fair also celebrates two emblematic figures of Egyptian culture, Taha Hussein and Nazek al-Malaika.
