Improvement of free education and increase in teacher salaries
The question of free education is at the heart of the concerns of the population of North Kivu. During a conference debate organized by the provincial coordination of the Sacred Union, participants pleaded in favor of improving this crucial measure. According to them, this involves increasing the salary of teachers.
Indeed, free education is a major step forward for access to education in the Democratic Republic of Congo. However, for this measure to be truly effective, it is essential to ensure that teachers are properly remunerated. This will ensure the quality of teaching and motivate education professionals.
Participants in the conference-debate also underlined the importance of rejuvenating the political class. According to them, it is time to give young talents the chance to engage in political life and actively participate in building a better future for the country. They called on the head of state and the next government to create more jobs to combat youth unemployment.
At the same time, the participants expressed their support for the efforts made by the Head of State to reorganize the army and restore peace in North Kivu. They stressed the importance of setting up a permanent care mechanism for those displaced by war, in order to reduce the suffering of the population.
In conclusion, improving free education and increasing teachers’ salaries are crucial issues for North Kivu. The population expects from the Head of State and the next government concrete measures to improve the quality of education and promote the integration of young people into the job market. While supporting efforts to restore peace, it is important to put in place inclusive social and economic policies that will build a better future for all.
