“Massacres in Gaza: more than 160 Palestinians killed, the international community called to act”

International news is once again marked by the tragedies taking place in the Gaza Strip. Israeli occupying forces were responsible for several massacres, resulting in the deaths of more than 160 Palestinians and the injury of 250.

The occupation raids targeted the Maghazi and Nuseirat camps as well as the Deir al-Balah area, resulting in the deaths of 40 people. An entire residential square in Khan Yunis was also bombed, killing 30 and injuring 50.

The Gaza Health Ministry reported 73 deaths and 99 injuries in the space of 24 hours. Local media reported that 60 Palestinians were killed in the bombing of a house in the al-Fallujah area of the northern Jabalia camp, and another 30 died in an attack targeting the Palestinian school. ‘al-Maghazi, affiliated with UNRWA.

Israeli media reported the discovery of new tunnels in the middle of the Gaza Strip, while the resistance confirmed that some occupation soldiers were trapped inside two tunnels.

The al-Qassam Brigades announced that they had targeted forces entering the Maghazi camp, captured a bulldozer and two Merkava tanks east of the Bureij camp, and shelled occupation positions in the town of Khan Yunis.

Clashes have also intensified with Lebanon. An Israeli attack on Monday resulted in the death of Wissam al-Tawil, head of Hezbollah’s elite unit, leading to mutual shelling between the two sides on the border.

In response to this attack, Hezbollah fired missiles from southern Lebanon towards the Ruwaisat Alam site in the Shebaa Farms, where casualties were confirmed. The occupation also confirmed that a soldier was injured when anti-tank missiles were fired at the Mount Dov area on the border with Lebanon, and sirens sounded in several towns in the western Galilee.

In this tragic context, the World Health Organization indicated that it was forced to cancel a mission to deliver medical supplies to the northern Gaza Strip due to lack of security guarantees.

Additionally, Save the Children said Sunday that an average of more than 10 children lose one or two of their legs every day in Gaza.

There is an urgent need to end this violence and work towards a lasting solution that ensures peace and security for all people in the region. The international community must intervene to protect civilians and find a political solution that ends the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza.
