LINAFOOT postpones the DCMP-VClub derby: a shock postponed in the upper echelons of Congolese football
The National Football League (LINAFOOT) took a surprise decision this Saturday, January 6 by announcing the postponement of the long-awaited match between the DCMP (Daring Club Motema Pembe) and the VClub (AS Vita Club), scheduled for the next day as part of of the national football championship. Information which has raised numerous questions and speculations within the Congolese football community.
In a press release published by LINAFOOT, no specific reason was given to justify this postponement. However, clubs, partners and officials have been invited to take the necessary measures following this decision.
The DCMP, currently fifth in the provisional ranking of Group B with 25 points, would have greatly benefited from this meeting to try to move up the ranking. For its part, the VClub occupies second place with 31 points, and could have consolidated its position at the top.
This is not the first time that LINAFOOT has made a postponement decision without a clear explanation. Last December, the match between FC Lupopo and TP Mazembe was also postponed indefinitely, this time for security reasons.
